how did you get your start in the world of comics?
As a fan, I started reading comics when I was about six or seven years old. My dad used to take me to the LCS with him every week to pick up comics for himself and for me. Since then, I’ve been reading comics, graphic novels, and manga my entire life.
As a member of comics press, I got my start at ComicsAlliance a few years ago. I was friends with some of the staff on Twitter and Tumblr, and a childhood friend properly connected me with Laura Hudson in 2009.
As for other comic-related endeavors, I would really love to dabble in the actual creation of comics in the near future and get back into drawing again, so that I can start fleshing out some of the ideas that have been bouncing around in my brains for the past decade or so.
Pre order the followup to 2011’s “kill all your friends” zine. A dark and satirical take on depression, loneliness, isolation, and gathering the means to get over it, this zine shows 20+ black and white drawings scraped from the lowest and picked from the highest. Each zine will have a hand colored card stock cover and will be signed and printed by yrs truly. Zines will start shipping mid-December.
I will only be printing 25 of these so grab one while you can
