QUI EST-ELLE?

Suspended in disbelief. Frequently breaking the fourth wall. Collector of novelty watches and Kewpie dolls. I run Fashion Tips From Comic Strips and I am the resident superheroic sartorialist on ComicsAlliance.
This one time, I wore a Snorlax Dress. This other time, I was in an Art Brut video. THE END.

Batman 1966 x Kewpie mashup, by Jonathan Reincke
[prints available on Etsy]
I’ve been a fan of Jonathan’s work ever since I met him at Boston Comic Con 2011, but I’m completely floored by this mashup of two of my most favorite things in the world~
I can’t wait to hang these up in my room ♡
Mego Style Batman, Robin, Joker And Riddler Dolls Coming In July
With Mattel’s Retro-Action line of 8” World’s Greatest Heroes figures put to bed last year, it seems Figures Toy Company has stepped in to fill the void with actual replicas of Mego’s famous ’70s dolls beginning with Batman, Robin, The Joker and The Riddler. Expected in comic and specialty stores this July, each figure will sport Mego’s signature sculpts, cloth costumes and 16 points of articulation (although hardcore fans will note that Batman and Robin’s masks aren’t removable like the earliest World’s Greatest Superheroes! line versions). Twisted Mego/ToyFare Theatre should be especially excited by the thought of customizing the dynamic duo into a modern Bat-Pumpkin and Squash. Pricing info hasn’t been released just yet, but judging from FTC’s previous releases, fans can probably expect to pay around $15-25 per figure this summer.
