QUI EST-ELLE?

Suspended in disbelief. Frequently breaking the fourth wall. Collector of novelty watches and Kewpie dolls. I run Fashion Tips From Comic Strips and I am the resident superheroic sartorialist on ComicsAlliance.
This one time, I wore a Snorlax Dress. This other time, I was in an Art Brut video. THE END.

I AM THE BAT.
The last two! What would a Venture Bros spread be without Doc Venture being attacked by a Johnny Quest walking-eye?
This was the most difficult of the four to design because it had a lot of action but I had to steer clear of the gutter (where the pages are stapled in the middle). I haven’t seen it in print yet but hopefully it worked out okay compositionally.

I want pins of all of these illustrations.
The first of four Venture Bros. images I did for Turner Boradcasting for the Adult Swim issue of Juxtapoz. The issue will be out in a few days so check it out!
Each of the pages focused on the main characters from the series. I wanted to do something a little unconventional so I invented my own villains: A gas mask wearing, English-hunting party.
You can check out the rest of the July issue preview here.
Ah, finally credit for this piece! My friend and I both agree that these villains are very “Venture” in their design, and therefor excellent. Checked to see if it was out yet and the old issues were still out, bummer. Next week!

Another Venture Bros piece adding to the build-up for Juxtapoz’s Adult Swim special issue. This time featuring the show’s married supervillian duo, The Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend. Enjoy!
And look for the issue of Juxtapoz coming out this week!
I got the issue today, and this one is my absolute favorite. I hope to see it available in print form!
Oh my.
I actually made this two years ago for SDCC 2010 to wear with AK’s Dr. Girlfriend costume; however, aside from the crown and leotard, I wasn’t able to finish the rest of my costume in time before my flight to San Diego. To this day, I still have yet to finish the boots, gloves, and choker.
One of these days, I’ll get around to it. Though at this point, I’d want to redo the leotard and the crown, so the issue is not so much about finishing a couple of accessories, but remaking an entire costume.
These are my grown-up dilemmas.
