QUI EST-ELLE?

Suspended in disbelief. Frequently breaking the fourth wall. Collector of novelty watches and Kewpie dolls. I run Fashion Tips From Comic Strips and I am the resident superheroic sartorialist on ComicsAlliance.
This one time, I wore a Snorlax Dress. This other time, I was in an Art Brut video. THE END.

Best Art Ever (This Week) - 06.07.13
By Andy Khouri
We make a regular practice at ComicsAlliance of spotlighting particular artists or specific bodies of work, but because cartoonists, illustrators and their fans share countless numbers of great images on sites like Flickr, Tumblr, DeviantArt and seemingly infinite art blogs that we’ve created Best Art Ever (This Week), a weekly depository for just some of the pieces of especially compelling artwork that we come across in our regular travels across the Web. Some of it’s new, some of it’s old, some of it’s created by working professionals, some of it’s created by future stars, some of it’s created by talented fans, and some of it’s endearingly silly. All of it’s awesome.Check out this week’s Best Art Ever on ComicsAlliance!ABOVE: Superman and Batman, by 顛倒

If you haven’t heard yet, my awesome friend Janet and I are putting together a little nerd zine called “That’s So Sugoi!” It’s basically a compilation of about 15 super talented artists mashing up their favorite childhood cartoons and anime. The zine’s gonna be sold at Anime Boston and Anime Next, so if you’re going to either of those definitely stop by and take a look!
Here’s one of the pieces I contributed! I feel like this show is kind of obscure at this point, but I absolutely love Ranma ½. It’s already pretty wacky, so I thought it would be appropriate to mash it up with the wackiness of old school 1930s cartoons!
Check out more pieces for the zine at the That’s So Sugoi! Zine tag! :D
I was looking through a copy of That’s So Sugoi! at Arielle’s booth at Anime Boston last weekend, and this pie-eyed Ranma 1/2 piece completely sold me. This zine is basically all of my favorite things combined.
My left butt cheek is more punk rock than you!
The only other new print I can churn out in time for Anime Boston. Hope to see you guys there!
I also got this amazing print from Arielle at Anime Boston this past weekend ♡

One of the cute prints that I picked up at Anime Boston, because DC Comics + the mid-evolution of my original starter Pokemon = ♡
Some pins that I picked up in Artists’ Alley (Anime Boston):
