Marvel released Issue #2’s cover!  I had a lot of fun with this one.  I wanted to ensure that the only time you ever see her face is in the center panel.  Kind of gives you a hint at what a Kevin Wada interior page would look like.  As in no perspective and flat EVERYTHING.

13  Hawkeye

14  Hawkguy

15  Pizza Dog

So Hawkeye is probably one of the greatest monthlies in print at the moment.  It’s a perfect version of itself, a perfect fusion of artists and writer, of Hawkeye and Hawkguy, of pizza and dog.  Read it.  Read it all.  Let Hawkeye, starring Hawkeye (Kate Bishop) and Hawkeye (Clint Barton) and Pizza Dog (Arrow Lucky), become your monthly present to yourself.

Because every month could use some sprucing up.  Even a Mighty Month of Marvel.  Spruce it up by VOTING for the Marvel character you love best.

I love Pizza Dog best.

11.  The Beauty Untouchable

This was so much fun to draw.  Sometimes it’s like pulling teeth, but Rogue was an act of joy.

20 days left in the Mighty Month of Marvel, 20 drawings yet to be done.  Let’s do the damn thing.  VOTE.

Captain Marvelf!
Kelly Sue DeConnick quickly became one of my biggest heroes of 2013. I met her at NYCC and talked to her about the Valkyries, and she was the warmest and most enthusiastic person. Also, really fucking metal. I came home raving about her, sat down and immediately read her entire run of Captain Marvel, in between losing it over Pretty Deadly. I’m late to the game on Carol Corps, but I do love it. Also, my friend and great accent-haver Jamie McKelvie designed her (and the new Ms Marvel’s!) costume, so this is just an ode to people I like.
Bigger version is HERE! Print out, put up around your home! Whatever!
